Call for Abstracts

Abstracts will be accepted only for  those who have registered for the meeting. Only one abstract per registrant will be accepted. It is best to register early. While most abstracts will be presented as posters, a number of submitted abstracts will be chosen for oral presentation. You will be notified about oral presentations one month prior to the meeting.

Guidelines for preparation of abstracts:

    1. Use either Arial or Helvetica fonts (12 point) and type with single spacing. Try to use the Symbol font for Greek and Scientific symbols (alpha, beta, gamma, etc.) to ensure correct syntax when printed in the Abstract Book.

    2. The abstract should be prepared as follows:
      1. BRIEF TITLE IN CAPITAL LETTERS (abbreviations should be avoided in the title, but may be used in the text if they are defined at first usage).

      2. Leave one line before authors' names and institutional affiliations.

      3. Authors' names (full first name, last name), and the institution (hospital, university, organization, city, and country) where the research was carried out, with the presenting author underlined.

      4. Leave one line before commencing abstract

      5. Abstract text should be about 200 words:
        • State specific objective of the study
        • Outline the approach
        • Summarize results and conclusions and indicate significance

    3. Send abstract by email as an attachment in MS Word to Ms. Kimberly Labor (kjl2006@columbia.edu) by JULY 1, 2008. Important: in email subject line please write: p53 conference abstract
